How many of you are hard on yourselves? How many of you can more easily and quickly list 10 things you don’t like about yourself than 10 things you do? You’re probably not alone. Let me rephrase that: You’re definitely not alone. This morning we’ll discuss mercy, our duty to give it, but mostly our self-imposed deprivation of it.
